Creamery Boutique is an ice cream shop specialising in lava cookies instead of the usual waffles and toasts. Such cookies are piped in with different flavours of lava which will burst and flow upon splitting of the cookie. They hail from Thailand and joined the trend a tad late, since Kooks Creamery came in with a similar concept earlier too.
Salted Egg Lava Cookie with Brit Pop Ice Cream ($8.80)
What is Brit Pop ice cream you may ask? Brit Pop is essentially egg custard ice cream with savoury caramelised bacon bits. The combination may sound a bit weird to some, but trust me, the marriage between the two is one made in heaven. The sweet savoury combination is one to shout about, with the chewy bacon bits providing good texture to the ice cream. The salted egg lava was rich enough for more, balancing well with the ice cream. I like that the insides of the cookie is moist and slightly chewy, not dry.
Th other flavours of lava cookies include Red Velvet, Chocolate, Matcha and more! I will return for their famed Tea Garden ice cream which I missed the previous time.
